“The order of application is incredibly important,” says Dr. Rogers.

So which product goes on top of what, you ask? An easy rule of thumb to follow is to apply your products with the thinnest consistency to thickest, or from liquid to cream.

1- Skin cleaning

Make sure to clean hands and facial skin well with warm water, as this works to lighten the pores. Choose a gentle cleanser that suits your skin type, and clean it in circular motions for 50 seconds. Some cleansers need to be left for a minute or two on the skin for best results, and then rinse with cold water.

2- Use a toner

After cleaning your skin, pat it dry with a clean towel. After that, use a piece of cotton, dip it in toner, and use it to wipe the facial skin well. Toner helps maintain the pH balance of the skin after cleansing. But be careful to avoid the eye area.
It is recommended that you use the toner that best suits your skin type:

• If you have dry skin, consider a toner that contains glycerin or hyaluronic agent, which restores moisture to your skin. Such as :

2- CLARINS Toning Lotion with Camomile
• If you have oily skin, use toners that contain ingredients that limit the release of oils like glycolic and salicylic acid.
• If you have combination skin, go for toners that contain antioxidants and are free of oils and alcohol.
• If you have sensitive skin, use a toner that contains ingredients that soothe the skin, such as aloe vera.

3- Antioxidant Serum

Serums are super-concentrated, nutrient-dense treatments that address specific concerns, so it’s better to keep them as close to the skin as possible.

 There are various serums available on the market today, but for daytime, Dr. Rogers recommends antioxidant serums, which provide a variety of benefits—from blunting your skin’s inflammatory response to neutralizing damage from UV rays and environmental pollutants.

4- Moisturizing

 Yes, everyone needs a moisturizer, even if you have oily skin. “Even though your body has its own natural lubricating system consisting of glands that secrete oil (or sebum) to maintain a protective coating against harsh outside conditions and infections, most of us do need extra hydration after the havoc that sun, weather and harsh chemicals wreak on our skin,”.

Most experts recommend that the best time to apply a moisturizer is while the skin is still damp, so the sooner you go through applying your serum and treatment, the sooner you’re able to lock in much-needed hydration with your moisturizer.

5- Peeling skin

That is an essential process for deeply cleaning the pores, and it must be applied twice a week. After cleaning the skin in the usual way, use the scrub on the skin, focusing on the area around the nose, forehead and chin well. Regular exfoliation may lead to enlarged pores, which is not required.

6- Natural mixes

After cleansing or exfoliating the skin, use natural mixtures to purify the skin. There are many natural mixtures that you can prepare at home. Leave them on your skin for 15 minutes and then rinse with cold water.

7- Do not touch the skin

Regardless of the itch, you must resist the urge to use dry or dirty towels to wipe your skin. This may lead to a build-up of bacteria on the surface of the skin. Also, there are many involuntary movements that make you touch your skin, try as much as possible to avoid this.

8- Do not squeeze pimples

Pimples are very annoying, and you may want to press them to get rid of them while cleansing or itching. However, this may lead to dark spots and scarring, which are difficult to remove afterwards. Therefore, be careful not to touch the pimples, either with the hands, the paper towels, or the towel.

9- Moisturizing the body

Moisturizing the body internally, by drinking plenty of water throughout the day, helps to achieve healthy, supple and hydrated skin.
